This post was first published in August 2016. A prayer for students. Recently I sent Favorite Baby off to a different state for the next step in his educational plan. I speak to him frequently, but even so, I find my thoughts wandering and wondering what he is up to? And the prayer still applies.

Are you ever lonely? You know, sitting on the couch, watching The Bachelor by yourself, lonely? I know I’m not alone in my loneliness here 🙂 I am aware, that God is with me all the time and I am never truly alone, but there are plenty of times I just feel lonely. Let’s talk about that.
After checking the analytics on the blog (a task in itself) I was surprised to find out which were your favorite Top 5 Posts from 2016. As I write, I often wonder exactly what interests you and what you are liking or disliking about the blog. But the analytics don’t lie and here are your favs.
I have always been a writer. In high school, I was the editor of a youth magazine in my community. I wanted to go to journalism school and become an investigative reporter. Life started, I fell in love, got married, had a bunch of kids and the rest, they say is history.
I picked up Bettyville, by George Hodgman expecting an interesting story of a son and a mother. Being that I have 4 sons myself, the story of their relationship was a draw and plus I just love stories about women of a certain age (in this case 90+). Let me just say, it did not disappoint.
