This past weekend I found the PERFECT knobs for Favorite Baby’s nautical style bedroom. As Big Jon was installing them and I was jumping around for joy and exclaiming how “these are the perfect knobs” I thought to myself… I really have a thing about knobs.
It’s true. I spend a huge amount of time trying to find the best knobs available for every single piece of furniture, every cabinet, every door… anywhere you can add an interesting knob, I’m in! Yup, just sayin’, it is all in the details. In whatever creative endeavor you choose, it is imperative that you pay extra special close attention to every little detail. Apparently in my case, you must pay extra close attention to the knobs. 🙂
When we remodeled our kitchen I chose these black beauties. I love the way the knob has a rough textured finish to it. Each knob has its own character, no two knobs are the same. I love that!
What is really cool about this one is the unique basket weave pattern on the knobs. It gives them an unusual shape and feel. I also love that the paint color I chose for this piece was called “Basket Weave”. Get it? Basket weave paint and basket weave knobs? LOL! Isn’t great to have little glimpses of secret humor about the house?
These are the best! The builtins from Favorite Baby’s room sat without knobs for several weeks until I located these beauties at Hobby Lobby. (BTW I buy most of them at Hobby Lobby because you can’t beat the prices, especially when you can catch them on sale!) Can you say bargain shopper?
This is a picture looking down from the top of my doggy feeding station. I found these very creative pulls on Etsy. They have actual Milk Bone dog biscuits in them. How cute is that?
The knobs for our entertainment console are subtle yet detailed. They fade into the piece as a whole, but up close they are quite beautiful. Perfect for this piece.
These fun knobs I bought several years ago and have just had on hand waiting for the right piece. A couple of years ago I bought this corner cabinet off Craigs List and Big Jon put it in our dining room. They are the perfect accent on this fun white cabinet.
So I guess I have a knob thing. In the spirit of full disclosure, I have been known to pick up a couple of really interesting ones on a whim, without a current project for them to be used. Truth be told, I always end up using them tho. And really, it could be so much worse, right?
